Pandoras box opened a little wider....yikes
I am all for research, and advancing medical science, but sometimes even if the intent is good it can be a bit "scary"....I'm not going to get into the "life-vs-soul" stuff, inherant in the use of human eggs and sperm, I'll leave that for others to argue about, but the thing that scares me is Do we know what we are doing? What kind of horror would we be capable of unleashing, if the knowledge fell into the hands of really bad people......science fiction is repleat (like that? I used a fancy word he he) with stories about genetic manipulation of humans with horrible results. Remember the movie GATTACA....it introduced a new form of discrimination...valids-vs-invalids....valids were optimized humans at the genetic level, designer humans...invalids were good ole normals....it gets worse from there. in other works of not so ficticious fiction.....anyhow here's the cut and paste from yahoo
