@ 04:49 PM (15 months, 21 hours ago)

No excuses this time, can't blame anybody but themselves, if they get jacked up by the hurricane, for the potential loss of property, well that just plain sucks, sorry folks...good luck....riff

In New Orleans, which also has yet to fully recover from Katrina, Mayor Ray Nagin urged people living in Federal Emergency Management Agency units to evacuate. (still living in FEMA trailers? MY GOD.....it's been three years people)

New Orleans officials warned residents that they'll be on their own if they ignore orders from police with bullhorns directing them to evacuate, The Associated Press reported.(That means GTFO...dude)

Jerry Sneed, the city's emergency preparedness director, said that the Superdome would be locked and that there would be no shelter of last resort if residents decided to accept "all responsibility for themselves and their loved ones," the AP reported.(Thats OK until CNN and Al Sharpton make it a Govt./rascist isue....Story at eight, despite getting over weeks warning of impending hurricane, and at least 72 hours warning, poor minorities accuse the Government of not warning them in time) to get out

Officials in Plaquemines, Louisiana, ordered mandatory evacuations and announced that a curfew would be in place from 10 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday. They warned that violators would be arrested.(They ain't messing around with the looters this time I see.....good for them)

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour said Hurricane Katrina victims living in government-issued trailers or mobile homes along his state's coast will begin evacuating this weekend.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Hanna passed north of the Leeward Islands Friday with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph (80 kph), the hurricane center said.(oh yeah.....another one)

The center predicted gradual strengthening, and Hanna could be near hurricane strength Sunday....(Looks like mother nature is making up for last year......yikes)

  1. I have sympathy for people when trees fall on their heads. I don't have as much sympathy for people that are told the tree is falling but they just stand there.
