But correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the dumocraps hold the majority? The vote for the (from what I heard) was pretty damn close. So I ask you this.....If the vote was nearly a even split, (give or take a few)....AND the dumocraps are in the majority, where is the party unity? And just how......... pray tell..... is it suddenly McStains fault? Sorry folks, but I don't buy that bullshit. I am gonna have fun with this story....lol
BEIJING - A Chinese astronaut on Saturday performed the nation's first-ever spacewalk, the latest milestone in an ambitious program that is increasingly rivaling the United States and Russia in its rapid expansion. (Dammit Zhai!....yu eet too much brokkery....you gotta get out....ahhh my eyes burn)
Mission commander Zhai Zhigang floated out of the orbiter module's hatch in the spacewalk, shown live on state broadcaster CCTV. Tethered to handles attached to the Shenzhou 7 ship's orbital module's exterior, Zhai remained outside for about 13 minutes before climbing back inside and closing the hatch behind him.(ooo must light candle.....wow!)
"Shenzhou 7 has left the module, physically feel very good. Greetings to all the people of the nation and all the people of the world," Zhai said.(also said but blocked from transmitting..."Damn!....it dark as hell out here, and I am freezing my bean curds off.....lol)
Fellow astronaut Liu Boming also emerged briefly from the capsule to hand Zhai a Chinese flag that he waved for an exterior camera filming the event. The third crew member, Jing Haipeng, monitored the ship from inside the re-entry module.(Liu also eat too much brokkery, and bad kimche....poor jing)
The successful spacewalk paves the way for assembling a space station from two Shenzhou orbital modules, the next major goal of China's manned spaceflight program. China is also pursuing lunar exploration and may attempt to land a man on the moon in the next decade.(make really big firecracker......reach all the way to moon........getting back a pobrem) China launched its first manned mission, Shenzhou 5, in 2003, followed by a two-man mission in 2005.(Also noted big crater in china space port, and smell of gunpowder for weeks)
Since blasting off from their northwestern China launch base on Friday, the astronauts had been largely occupied with preparing the suits and adapting to zero gravity. Meals aboard the craft have followed a typical Chinese menu, featuring versions of kung pao chicken, shrimp and dried fruit, (100 year eggs, tufu squid, pickled octopus, kimchee, lol)the official Xinhua News Agency said.
On Friday, the three-module capsule shifted from an oval orbit to a more stable circular orbit 213 miles (343 kilometers) above Earth, meaning it is circling at a constant distance.(see ....I told you earth like maable, not egg!)
The change ensured that Earth's gravitational pull would not vary during the spacewalk attempt and will help Shenzhou make a precise landing on the Inner Mongolian Steppe on Sunday after its re-entry vehicle bursts through Earth's atmosphere, Xinhua said.(hold on tight....dis goinna be a bumpy ride)
All kidding and awful jokes aside, China is becoming a even more significant force on the planet. They will leave us in the dust so to speak if NASA and all the damn red taped spewing beurocrats, doesn't pull their collective heads out of their asses, and wake the fu** up..........and p.s....I really do like chinese food, and realize the rich culture and heritage of that country.....but I gotta be me...lol...and as the wifey always tells me "Your full of sh**"......lol...riff

At 39.7% efficiency for a multi-junction solar cell, researchers at the
Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg have
exceeded their own European record of 37.6% which they achieved just a
short time ago. III-V semiconductor multi-junction solar cells are used
in photovoltaic concentrator technology for solar power stations.
“We have improved the contact structures of our solar cells,” says
Frank Dimroth, Head of the III-V – Epitaxy and Solar Cells Group at
Fraunhofer ISE. “As a result, using the same semiconductor structures,
we now achieve the higher efficiency when converting sunlight into
electricity.”
For the utilization in photovoltaic concentrator systems, the
optimal efficiency of multi-junction solar cells must often be achieved
between 300 - 600 suns, that is, at a sunlight concentration factor of
300 – 600. The metallization of the front side makes the main
difference for different concentration factors. In the front grid the
current is conducted through a network of thin wires from the middle of
the solar cell to the edge, where it is then picked up by a 50 µm gold
wire. Particularly under concentrated sunlight, the structure of this
metal network is decisive.
For one, the metal wires must be big enough to transport, with low
resistance, the large currents which are generated under concentrated
sunlight. On the other hand, the wires must be as small as possible
since the sunlight cannot penetrate through metal and thus the cell
area covered by metal cannot be used for the electrical conversion.
For the past two years at Fraunhofer ISE, work is being performed on
a new program for the theoretical calculation of optimal contact
structures. Based on this work sponsored by the EU Project Fullspectrum
(SES6-CT-2003-502620), solar cells holding the newest record
efficiencies were developed. These cells are especially suitable for
situations of inhomogeneous radiation, as occurs in the case of
concentrated sunlight. These solar cells are installed in the
concentrator modules of the type FLATCON® at Fraunhofer ISE and at the
spin-off company Concentrix Solar GmbH, among others.
“We are very pleased to have advanced a further decisive step in
such a short amount of time,” says Dr. Andreas Bett, Department Head at
Fraunhofer ISE. “Highest conversion efficiencies help the young
technology to become market competitive and to further sink the costs
of generating electricity from the sun for the future.”
For more than ten years, researchers at Fraunhofer ISE have been
developing multi-junction solar cells with highest efficiencies. One
emphasis here is on the so-called metamorphic (lattice mismatched)
triple-junction solar cells made out of Ga0.35In0.65P, Ga0.83In0.17As
and Ge, which have an especially high theoretical efficiency potential.
The solar cell structures consist of more than 30 single layers, which
are deposited on a germanium substrate by means of metal-organic
vapour-phase epitaxy (MOVPE).
Today such multi-junction III-V semiconductor solar cells achieve
the highest conversion efficiency worldwide by far. Due to the large
material and manufacturing costs, however, they are only used in
concentrating PV systems and in space.
Just keep watching folks, it won't be long before it gets to the homeowner, as soon as they get more affordable I'm going to power my "ham shack" off of solar, wind and battery, for lighting and radio power, and computer power...if I get enough panels, I will even run the AC off of them.......but until them....riff

Palin bans reporters from meetings with leaders (How dare she ban the almighty press, the nerve...lol)
By SARA KUGLER, Associated Press Writer 13 minutes ago
NEW YORK - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has not held a press conference in nearly four weeks of campaigning, on Tuesday banned reporters from her first meetings with world leaders, allowing access only to photographers and a television crew. (Damn, no biased reporters, no Gibson , no other biased combatant interveiws)
CNN, which was providing the television coverage for news organizations, decided to pull its TV crew, effectively denying Palin the high visibility she had sought.(Uh oh...now she done it, the MSM is gitting pissy, quick call Oprah, and Barbra STREISAND, AND MOVE ON)
Palin planned to meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe in New York on Tuesday as the United Nations General Assembly convenes this week. She also was expected to meet with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
Those sessions and meetings scheduled for Wednesday are part of the Republican campaign's effort to give Palin experience in foreign affairs. She has never met a foreign head of state and first traveled outside North America just last year. (She aint sucked to adolph amendenajad either...lol)
The campaign told the TV producer, print and wire reporters in the press pool that follows the Alaska governor that they would not be admitted with the photographers and camera crew taken in to photograph the meetings. At least two news organizations, including The Associated Press, objected and were told that the decision was not subject to discussion.(Basically she ain't gonna kiss the associated press'es ass.....could be good could be bad)
Palin has been criticized for avoiding taking questions from reporters or submitting to one-on-one interviews. She has had just two major interviews since Republican presidential candidate John McCain chose her as his running mate on Aug. 29.(She ain't giving them no ammo, so hey just make up there own)
On Wednesday, McCain and Palin were expected to meet jointly with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko. Palin was then to meet separately with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

This guy was about as evil as they come........geeez a 93 year old?....Gaaaaaa s-area home was executed Wednesday after he apologized to his victim's relatives.
"I'm sorry for what I did," William Murray
told two nephews of Rena Ratcliff who watched him through a window in
the death chamber. "I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
The Lord has forgiven me." (Not likely bubba......unless your lord has horns and a tail, or reads the koran....lol)
Murray then looked through an adjacent window where his mother and
two brothers were among the witnesses and said: "I'll be there waiting
for y'all, all right? God bless."
Eight minutes later at 6:20 p.m., he was pronounced dead.(Party favors all around break out the bubbly!!!)
Murray, a former auto mechanic and laborer from Kaufman, was the
ninth prisoner put to death this year in the nation's most active
death-penalty state.(Thats right ...we have the death penalty and we USE it)
Murray's lawyer said appeals were exhausted. The U.S. Supreme Court refused to review the case earlier this year. In addition, a clemency bid to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles was turned down this week.
"Yes, I did do this," Murray told The Associated Press in a recent
interview. "I'm not trying to blame this on somebody else. I want
people to know I'm sorry for the crime. I pray to the Lord to forgive
me and I'm asking them to forgive me. That's all I can do."
Murray blamed drug problems for committing at least a dozen burglaries, including the one in February 1998 where Ratcliff
was awakened while he rummaged through her bedroom. The widow hit him
with her cane or walker, surprising him, and he said after that he
"went crazy."
"I didn't know she was in there," he said. "I messed up. Somebody hit me from behind and I went off.
"I did what I did."
He took about $10 in change from a jar and a knife he later traded for drugs.
Murray had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for burglaries, but
was released on probation after three months. The Ratcliff slaying
occurred three months after his release.
Besides the burglaries, his record showed he escaped from jail while
awaiting trial and sexually assaulted two other inmates while he was
locked up.
Power outages in the Huntsville area because of Hurricane Ike had no effect on the lethal injection. Officials said the procedures were not dependent on electricity although the Huntsville Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where executions are carried out, had normal electric service.(Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor hurricane, will keep the needle man from his appointed rounds......lol....riff)

Sept. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Republican presidential candidate John McCain defended his running mate, Sarah Palin, as having a ``clear record of doing what America wants,'' while Democrat Barack Obama said her policies aren't much different from those of President George W. Bush. (Uhhh...are they still cam-pain-ing against Bush?....Uhhh fellas....he aint running for any office)
McCain, on CBS's ``Face the Nation,'' said Palin's outlook and political experience as the governor of Alaska and a former small-town mayor ``not only qualifies her, but brings to Washington a kind of an energy and a fresh wind.''
Obama said Palin is ``even more aligned'' than McCain is with the policies of fellow Republican Bush. Her selection undermines McCain's claim that he would depart from Bush's agenda, Obama said on ABC News's ``This Week.'' (Is that all they got?...Is that all they can come up with....kinda weak guys)
Both Obama and McCain have made changing U.S. policies a focus of their presidential campaigns.
McCain, 72, has defended Palin's readiness for the Republican ticket since he picked her as his running mate 10 days ago.
Half of U.S. voters said Palin, 44, doesn't have the experience needed to be an effective president, according to an ABC News poll released Sept. 5. Forty-two percent of the voters said she has the necessary experience, the poll said. (A biased left affiliated poll, no doubt skewed to reflect the lefts point of view)
Obama, 47, wouldn't comment on whether Palin is qualified for the vice presidency, calling her a ``skilled politician'' and saying the ``resume contest that's been going back and forth is not what the American people are looking for.'' (Because he would come up a bit short in that dept......lets not refer to that...)
`I Didn't Hear'
``What I didn't hear from Governor Palin, what I didn't hear from John McCain,'' was ``how are they going to put people back to work? How are they going to deal with health care,'' said Obama, a first-term Illinois senator whose political resume has been called thin by Republicans. (Why they will raise taxes on everybody, and redistrubute the wealth....ooops Im sorry that the democrats)
McCain, on ``Face the Nation,'' said he has to ``make a strong case that we're going to bring about'' change, and Palin can help him.
``Who better in the political landscape who could do that than Governor Palin, whose whole life has been engaged in that, taken them on and winning,'' McCain said. ``I have taken them on and won less than she has.''
McCain cited Palin's successful campaign to unseat a governor her own party, Frank Murkowski, as evidence she was a political maverick like him.
Voters are enthusiastic about his choice of Palin because she backs reform in Washington, McCain said.
`Excited Our Base'
``She has not only excited our base, she has excited Americans,'' McCain said. ``All over this country we have campaigned together. The electricity has been incredible,'' he said. ``She is kind of what Americans have been looking for.''
McCain called Palin ``the most popular governor in America'' because she ``passed ethics and lobbying reform'' and ``gave money back to the taxpayers'' and ``cut spending.'' (How DARE she)..Obama won't be able to change Washington because ``I don't think he has the judgment,'' McCain said. Obama ``never took on his own party on any single major issue, I have taken them on a lot,'' he said.
Obama's running mate, Delaware Senator Joseph Biden, said debating Palin won't be different from debating ``a lot of very tough, smart women'' he encounters every day in the Senate.
``What is new is I have no idea what her policies are,'' Biden said on NBC's ``Meet the Press.'' (In other words I have nothing to spin and attack on)
Biden predicted that Obama's rival for the Democratic nomination, New York Senator Hillary Clinton, will campaign side by side with Obama as well as independently in the eight weeks before the election.
Deferring Tax Increases (Well I'll be dammned, never thought I would hear that from the libs......doubt it's sincere...just double talk...they will jack the hell out of the tax rate if elected)
Obama suggested that if elected president, he might defer tax increases on wealthiest Americans if the U.S. economy were still in a recession. The Illinois Democrat has proposed increasing taxes on high-income Americans to finance cuts for middle-income taxpayers. (and there is the other shoe..."if still in recession"....yeah right)
``We've got to take a look and see where the economy is,'' Obama said, adding he still planned to push through tax cuts for middle-class Americans. ``That's my priority'' (since when.......who is gonna pay for all that free medical he wants to give the illegals, and 5th gen welfare families...lol)
``I want to accelerate those tax cuts through a second stimulus package, get more money in to the pockets of ordinary Americans,'' he said.
They are going after the perceived real threat of Palin because they are scared......the saga continues.....riff

I just read the transcript of Palins speech.....wow, talk about unusual for republicans. As of late, most of what we were used to seeing was pretty much roll over and ignore. Bush and Cheney didn't do a whole lot fighting back at the constant barrage of attacks from an angry viscious unified liberal media and senate front. The usual conservative media folks, Rush, Beck, Hannity, to name a few pointed this out at many occurances....And yet Bush just pretty much ignored it. Palin on the other hand, at least in her opening speech, let the liberal press have it, let Obama have it, let Biden have it. I have already read of "Great praise" from supporters, and scoffing from non-supporters. Whether your liberal or conservative, you have got to admit, it was a good shot at the broadsides of the Left. But already the liberal machine is winding up, the press is on the attack. They are going over everything involving Palin and McCain with a fine toothed comb....a comb they wont apply to Biden and Obama. It's OK to accuse Palin of "neglecting" her family even before she has the office, and questioning her parenting, and the parentage of her 5th child, going after her Husband who had a DUI at the age of 22....before they had even met. Making hay over "TrooperGate", wich I have heard was because of a nasty break up involving the sister and even a death threat by the one fired..the truth is still in the works, even her faith is being used to crab about, and yet Nancy Peloopsi has a quite few kids, so does a few other big time liberal female reporters, all of whom are career women, and they have done OK, but yet Sarah Palin is neglectfull? Like her or hate her, whatever.....but you can't ignore the fact that the whole liberal media machine, and leftist are applying the microscope on her in such a manner that wouldn't dare apply to themselves....apparently they never heard the phrase.."Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" because if they did they would have nothing to say.....riff
