12 Headless Crimefighters Found Near Acapulco (Newser)

– Mexican police have found 12 headless bodies an hour away from Acapulco in the capital of Guerrero, a favorite resort state among ocean-loving tourists. The dead apparently included soldiers and a high-ranking police officer, reports the Los Angeles Times. NIne heads were bundled in plastic bags and dumped at a shopping center. The murders are believed to be retribution for the deaths of three gunmen who were shot by soldiers last week. (I beleive they call that the silver or lead policy, go along and get "silver". or go against and get "lead"....a popular tactic being implemented by highly trained narco-terrorist, along the border, and growing elswhere quickly)

Beheadings have become common in heightened drug violence that has claimed 5,300 lives in Mexico this year. Some 500 have been killed since last year in Guerrero, a favorite destination of Americans on holiday.  Last week, the US and Mexico pledged to beef up efforts in the drug war, with America agreeing to fork over $1.4 billion, pending congressional approval, to curb trafficking and drug-related crime. (I doubt it will happen, but the only way to attack this problem and have any chance of doing good, is a dedicated multinational joint military task force.....not hindered by borders.....both U.S.  AND Mexico, and all the other countries involved.......a search and destroy effort...but with our respective governments acting like big brats, and not willing to do what needs to be done, or cooporating very well, and pervasive corruption....the answer is "Yeah right ....like that's gonnna happen.....my respects to the fallen......prepare for it to worsen.....riff)
