A wasted 4.99...Babylon AD

@ 04:50 AM (9 months, 8 days ago)
One of the problem I have is that I work nights....So on my days off, I try to keep the same schedule, so as not to have jet lag when I go back to work, so one of the thing I do is haunt the cheap movie bins at Walmart, and on occasion get a PPV of the dish....Well last night I rented that Vin Diesel flick...Babylon AD.....Supposed to be a good sci fi flick.....It had potential, but it left too much un answered...It was like they just threw in stuff that sounded cool, and then left that and threw in something else....What I got out of the story was.....Post war world...Russia is in shambles filled with gangs and mobs, and dense overpopulation...Diesel is a mercenary, and is hired to smuggle a girl to the U.S.....The girl is weird and knows thing she shouldnt like how to operate a 30 year old russian sub....She was incubated ? by a supercomputer, and learned things quickly, she was also pregnant without doing the nasty, with twins....The twins enable her to survive an explosion by emitting some kind of force feild while still en-utero (WTF???)...She lives long enough to give birth then dies(again WTF?).Don't say why, she isnt hurt, pregnancy isn't normaly a lethal condition...then Diesel becomes the daddy...the end....All I can say is PLEASE DO NOT MAKE A PART 2....that movie was crap...Not as bad as Invasion From Inner Earth...but crap none the less.........riff

  3. Working nights has to be in your blood or you'll never survive. I loved night shift but, hey, I'm part vampire. I loved going opposite traffic, though.
