ACORN Initates Civil Disobedience to Stop Foreclosures

ACORN is taking a page out of the anarchist playbook, following the example of Boston area anarchists who recently stopped evictions of foreclosed homes, and is starting a campaign of neighborhood resistance to evictions in cities hard-hit by the mortgae crisis. Text messages and phone trees will call volunteers to eviction sites to block Sheriffs from carrying out evictions. This has the potential to begin demostrating the power people have in determining their own lives, and in recognizing that the only laws we must follow are the ones the system can enforce on us.
Effort Takes Shape to Support Families Facing Foreclosure (gee.....I geuss it's ok to go shoot heroin, and murder randomly too...if "THEY" can't enforce it.)

As resistance to foreclosure evictions grows among homeowners, community leaders and some law enforcement officials, a broad civil disobedience campaign is starting in New York and other cities to support families who refuse orders to vacate their homes.

The community organizing group Acorn unveiled the campaign with a spirited rally on Friday at a Brooklyn church and will roll it out in at least 22 other cities in the coming weeks. Through phone trees, Web pages and text-messaging networks, the effort will connect families facing eviction with volunteers who will stand at their side as officers arrive, even if it means risking arrest.

Arrest them and throw their butts in jail with no bail, and throw the fricken book at them...unless they can help me not pay my mortgage, and student loan, and bank loan and car payment, and utilities, and grocerys , crack habit , 10 kids, 30 grandbabies and I can just quit work and it'll be OK...cuz I gots ACORN....riff
