Pit Bulls.....do we need to regulate them?

@ 04:25 PM (7 months, 27 days ago)
Geeez...in the San Antonio today , a pair of pitbulls attacked a grandmother and killed an infant, a week ago, in a nearby town, another child was a chew toy, and partial meal for another Pit....What the hell is going on?..I used to be of the mindset that pits weren't bad dogs they were just raised that way, by moron owners. The pit is also a "status" symbol for some of your less that reputable types, namely a lot of latino gang bangers types, and similar backgrounds, dang near every "redneck" around here with more cars on blocks than on wheels has a pit or three or four.....Just on  a whim I looked up pit bull attacks in Texas and got about 70,900 hits...it also referred to other states but still.  This problem is on the rise. I had a pit bull boston terrier blue heeler cross once myself...(mutt)..He kinda looked like Petey off the little rascals...and that was the best dang dog......but one day my dad saw him hanging off the brisket of a next door neighbors prize Peidmontesse bull (average 1,800, to 25,000 for a good proven stud)...can you say "HOLY SHIT"...lets just say mack contracted lead poisoning after that and after a calf came up missing a chunk of throat.  Dog attacks are not new, but it just seems to me in the last few years, that pits have been in the news more often......riff
