The world according to Riff.

We had a very very busy night, four transfers, a possible heart attack, menningitis, 6 abdominal pains a bunch of fever having puking kids (plus one mom..that was realllllly..yummmy...*shame on me..lol*) and even a few people to sew up, and one person that thought they was giving birth to the rock of Gibralter when it was just a 2mm kidney stone...(seems bigger to the person passing it though).....But ya know sometimes it is a rewarding experience to see a poor guy doubled over with severe pain, and being able to assess and start "fixing" him as fast as you can, and doing the appropriate things to get him better quickly.....he hobbled in......but strutted out..... :)   anyhow we had a LOT of actual sick patients instead of the usual clinic crap, talk about a quick 12 hour shift.....before I knew it ....it was 0430 in the morning when we got to sit down.(we started at 1830pm......phew!!!)   One of the things we nurses use to cope, is Gallows humor or black or dark humor....so just for a good laugh, I added this funny cartoon....enjoy......riff
