I am trying out something new at home. I have to older model computers with no OS.  I have a copy of XP but it has been renewed three times, and I am waaaaay to cheap to buy another  liscense for it. So I figured "what the heck", and decided to try some of the linux stuff out there.  First I downloaded the latest Ubuntu version, took it home and burned it to a disk. But the damn motherboard wouldnt recognize the CD as a OS to boot from, making a boot disc now..lol, hope that works. So I had to reload XP on the damn thing, then get it to load Unbuntu...after installing winrar to read the damn ISO file *sigh*..end result I got it to load, and when I boot up I get the option of wich OS to use, window or ubuntu....Problem is, I don't have internet at home, because we dropped the landline, and havent got wireless yet, so getting programs for linux is a bit of a pain in the ass...apparently linux based stuff is very specific in how you install it....I have not figured that part out yet. But what little I have figured out seems to be pretty cool. If I get good enough I may even tell Windows to KMA...but until then...lol...riff
