Jose Padilla, May 2002

U.S. officials arrested Padilla in May 2002 at O'Hare Airport in Chicago as he returned to the United States from Pakistan, initially charging him with being an enemy combatant and planning to use a "dirty bomb" (an explosive laced with radioactive material) in an attack against America. In 2005, the government officially indicted Padilla for conspiring with Islamic terrorist groups

mom.."he has fever"...did you give him anything for the fever?....Yes...what and when......motrin three days ago, it worked for a while then quit....

mom, well since my kid is here, I have a cough too...

and when did your child get sick?...four days ago, but after trick or treating today we decided to swing by the ER

"patient"....I need a pregnancy test...do you think you might be pregnant?...yes i havent had my period this month...ok...any medical history, operations ect ect. ....yes.......well?????.....no gall bladder , no appendix, hysterectomy, and ovaries removed.....when was this?...six years ago..(do what? )..... when was the last time you had your period?.....six years ago after the hysterectomy...and you want a pregnancy test because you haven't had your period???....yes....OK, we will tell the Doc.......(out of earshot of patient)...psych consult for a 67 year old male in triage

"I need to be seen"...ok what is the emergency?...I bumped my head, now I have a headache......when did this happen?.....ten years ago.......*sigh* (sadly shakes head)...OK we will tell the doctor

"I need to see a doctor"...yes maam what is wrong...I started my medicine for strep throat this afternoon at 430pm, and I'm still feeling sick..(time was 630pm)...*doctor sees patient, writes discharge instructions*...."keep taking the medicine as directed, two hours is a bit early to tell if it's working"...(patient, immediately sighs in relief)...Thank you doctor...and leaves

any medical history?...Yes, I'm a submissive and a furry...furry?...yes I like to dress up as an animal and ...well you know...*and she winks at me through her missing teeth, and smiles*....OK....the doc will see you shortly...*runs out of room, hides in a corner in a fetal position and drools, screaming "My eyes my eyes..oh the horror"*..(not really but I thought about it)...lol

This was in addition to the coke heads with chest pain and a heart rate of 160, the meth addicts with complaints of bad teeth, and the mothers dragging their whole family of six or seven kids all under 12 ...during a nasty thunderstorm with reports of flash flooding...I need all of them seen ..they have runny noses..........but all in all I do love my job...rofl...can't wait for that ole health care to *ahem*..fix things..(laughs and slaps sides).....riff

found this tidbit whilst pissing off the libs on newser...again......too funny....riff

Newser) – An "impoverished journalist" not quite desperate enough to sell her body on Craigslist decided to try the next best thing—selling used panties. "Unlike sex for money, selling used underwear didn't feel inherently sleazy or immoral," Meghan Pleticha writes for Nerve. She drew the line at posing in them, but not at meeting buyers at Starbucks, and then discretely removing them in the restroom.

Though the two men who took her up on her ad—after bargaining her down from $100 to $30 a pair—seemed nice and normal enough, the 166 emails she exchanged with non-buyers who "just wanted to get pictures of me in my underwear for free" made her feel slimed. "I'd envisioned a wallet full of Benjamins and a drawer of new panties," she writes. "I hadn't envisioned myself—and I'm cringing as I write this—making extravagant promises about how 'juicy' my panties were..........

OK that was pathetic...maybe somebody need to find a new line of work, because she apparently stinks at this one...riff

October 24, 2009, 9:58AM

RIVERDALE -- The U.S. Army will make an exception to a decades-old rule and allow a Sikh doctor from Morris County to serve without removing his turban and cutting his hair, an advocacy group said Friday.

Capt. Kamaljeet Singh Kalsi, of Riverdale, is the first Sikh to be allowed to go on active duty with a turban, beard and unshorn hair in more than 20 years, according to the New York-based Sikh Coalition.

The decision does not overturn an Army policy from the 1980s that regulates the wearing of religious items, Acting Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Gina Farrisee wrote in a letter to Kalsi dated Thursday and posted online by the Sikh Coalition.

Instead, the Army's decision follows a long-standing practice of deciding such requests on a case-by-case basis, the letter said. Farrisee said the Army had weighed Kalsi's request against factors such as "unit cohesion, morale, discipline, safety and/or health."

There is more but I didn't feel like posting it......It just seems wrong to me...but then again I see the point of also getting a much needed MD in the ranks.....but I still don't like it......oh well....riff

In it's ferver to jump on ANYTHING remotely pro liberal agenda, and against the Conservatives...the so called "fair non biased" liberal drive by attack media...made ass of themselves yet again

Stolen from the *ahem* Not really a news service...FOX

I bet they really love FOX after this......they didn't buy this hoax and are not being quiet about it...lmao.....Sorry white house the hoax is for libs.....lol...riff

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Monday said that a press release declaring the group had dropped its opposition to climate change legislation was a hoax.

The fake press release, which declared the Chamber had done an "about-face on climate policy" following the defection of prominent members, was briefly picked up by Reuters and several other media organizations.

But the Chamber sent out a counter-release setting the record straight.

"Public relations hoaxes undermine the genuine effort to find solutions on the challenge of climate change," spokesman Thomas Collamore said. "These irresponsible tactics are a foolish distraction from the serious effort by our nation to reduce greenhouse gases."

He said the group would call for law enforcement to investigate.

But Politico.com reported that the liberal activist group The Yes Men took responsibility for the hoax -- apparently part of a broader effort to undermine the Chamber in its opposition to cap-and-trade legislation and other Obama administration priorities.

Politico.com reported Monday that Democrats in Congress and the White House are doing an end run around the Chamber of Commerce to weaken their political influence by dealing directly with individual CEOs.

White House adviser Valerie Jarrett told Politico.com that the officials "prefer the approach," because it allows them to deal with people "on the front lines, running businesses."

But the Chamber accused the White House of a divide-and-conquer strategy.

Collamore said in his statement Monday that the Chamber would continue to "seek opportunities" to engage in the discussion about climate change policy, and that "the U.S. Chamber believes that strong climate legislation is compatible with the goals of improving our economy and creating jobs."

URBAN LEGEND! The Arizona Highway Patrol were mystified when they came upon a pile of smoldering wreckage embedded in the side of a cliff rising above the road at the apex of a curve. The metal debris resembled the site of an airplane crash, but it turned out to be the vaporized remains of an automobile. The make of the vehicle was unidentifiable at the scene.

The folks in the lab finally figured out what it was, and pieced together the events that led up to its demise.

It seems that a former Air Force sergeant had somehow got hold of a JATO (Jet Assisted Take-Off) unit. JATO units are solid fuel rockets used to give heavy military transport airplanes an extra push for take-off from short airfields.

Dried desert lakebeds are the location of choice for breaking the world ground vehicle speed record. The sergeant took the JATO unit into the Arizona desert and found a long, straight stretch of road. He attached the JATO unit to his car, jumped in, accelerated to a high speed, and fired off the rocket.

The facts, as best as could be determined, are as follows:

The operator was driving a 1967 Chevy Impala. He ignited the JATO unit approximately 3.9 miles from the crash site. This was established by the location of a prominently scorched and melted strip of asphalt. The vehicle quickly reached a speed of between 250 and 300 mph and continued at that speed, under full power, for an additional 20-25 seconds. The soon-to-be pilot experienced G-forces usually reserved for dog-fighting F-14 jocks under full afterburners.

The Chevy remained on the straight highway for approximately 2.6 miles (15-20 seconds) before the driver applied the brakes, completely melting them, blowing the tires, and leaving thick rubber marks on the road surface. The vehicle then became airborne for an additional 1.3 miles, impacted the cliff face at a height of 125 feet, and left a blackened crater 3 feet deep in the rock.

Most of the driver's remains were not recovered; however, small fragments of bone, teeth, and hair were extracted from the crater, and fingernail and bone shards were removed from a piece of debris believed to be a portion of the steering wheel.

Ironically a still-legible bumper sticker was found, reading
"How do you like my driving? Dial 1-800-EAT-SHIT."

ever heard of this.......Tinkle Tweakers are meth users who store their urine and faeces, and attempt to recover the un metabolized methamphetamine from those materials. We have performed activities in residences containing dozens upon dozens of 2 litre soft drink bottles filled with urine waiting to be processed. In such labs it would not be uncommon to find as much as 100 litres of stored urine.
